General Information:

We are inviting applications for a part-time Curricular Support Specialist position to assist our team with tasks related to the production of the undergraduate and graduate catalogs, the annual curriculum approval process, general office duties (such as email communication, scheduling, limited purchasing/budgetary tasks), and other duties as assigned.
• Average of 29 hours per week throughout the calendar year
• Hours are during normal business hours of 8am – 5pm with some flexibility during the weekday (no weekends required)
• This is an on-campus position (not remote)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the office with administrative tasks such as scheduling, communicating with stakeholders, and completing small purchases (such as UPS shipping labels)
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining curricular data in Excel and other formats
• Assist with proofreading and editing catalog material
• Assist with the annual review of curricular and catalog material by sending email communications, tracking responses, and making updates in Excel spreadsheets
• Assist with website reviews and updates to ensure current/compliant general information, appropriate curricular content, and proper website links
• Assist with formatting State Council of Higher Education of Virginia (SCHEV) proposals

 

Qualifications:

Required:
• Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to process detailed work with accuracy and efficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Technological proficiency, especially with MS Office
• Knowledge of basic office practices
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Must be available to work 29 hours per week during office hours of 8am – 5pm on a Monday through Friday schedule

Additional Considerations:
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
• Proficiency with virtual meeting formats (Zoom, MS Teams)
• Ability to learn technology applications quickly
• Knowledge of Cascade software and basic website publishing

This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
