General Information:

James Madison University’s Facilities Management Department is accepting applications for multiple Temporary Summer Landscape Workers. Work is 20-40 hours per week. Typical work schedule is Monday – Thursday 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., with some flexibility allowed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General landscape duties include weed-eating, watering, weeding, planting, mulching, trimming and possibly turf maintenance.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work predominately outdoors in extreme weather temperatures and conditions.
Must be 15 years of age or older as of the start date.
Landscape experience is helpful but not necessary.

Conditions of Employment:  

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

These are part-time wage positions with no benefits.
