General Information:
Marketing and Strategic Communications is searching for two or more student photographers and video production assistants for the 2026 - 2027 academic year. This paid internship is an exciting opportunity for a student to grow their photography and video production skills in a professional marketing environment. This position has a 10-hour per week commitment during the Fall and Spring academic semesters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. I understand it is my responsibility to accurately complete, sign, and submit timesheets to my supervisor each pay period. I also understand this is a condition of employment, and after two consecutive time periods (1 month) of not submitting timesheets, I could be terminated from my position.
2. Coordinate, produce, and/or direct the development of multimedia (Photography and video production) content for digital, broadcast, social media, and other delivery channels in support of university goals.
3. Coordinate, record, and edit video projects as assigned by the supervisor.
4. Provide general support and on-site photo/audio/video support for priority initiatives.
5. Coordinate and capture photographs as assigned by the supervisor.
6. Respond to photo/video assignments and project requests in a prompt, professional manner.
7. Assist the Photography and Video Production Manager, Photographers, and Video Producers on other projects as necessary.
8. Complete post-production and editing of multimedia content in a timely, efficient manner.
9. Assign relevant keywords and tags to image metadata, and write titles and descriptions.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have some experience with mirrorless or DSLR cameras.
A photography or video portfolio. Acceptable portfolio formats include a website, blog, PDF, public social media page dedicated to photography, or other similar formats.

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
