General Information:
The Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS) is seeking a student employee to provide assistance with administrative tasks related to clinical billing and building management at Campbell Building, located at 755 Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Harrisonburg, within walking distance of campus. Applicants should be available to work up to 10-12 hours per week, including evening shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00/5:00 to 8:00 p.m.), and additional flexibility for additional daytime hours on Mondays and Wednesdays. Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support for IIHHS Clinical Billing staff and IIHHS Administrative & Operational Services Coordinator
* Assist IIHHS Clinical Billing services with medical record alphabetizing, filing, mailings, and audits as directed by the billing staff
* Assist clients with taking payments at the clinical billing office and cover office responsibilities for Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) program as needed
* Maintain and secure Campbell Building spaces during evening shifts (Mon-Thurs, 5:00-8:00 p.m.) and help maintain clinic and shared spaces
* Input data entry for clinic room usage analysis spreadsheets (MS Excel) and other projects
* Serve as front desk receptionist at Campbell Building as needed (answering telephone, taking messages, sorting mailing, etc.)
* Provide assistance on other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Good customer service skills
* Basic computer literacy skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new computer software systems
* Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality (knowledge of HIPAA regulations and practices is helpful)
* Reliability and dependability
* Must be Federal Work Study eligible

Conditions of Employment:
Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
