General Information:

The Information Technology Unit at James Madison University is seeking applications for a Voice Engineer.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for directly supporting the design, provisioning, deployment, integration, administration, and maintenance of voice services and systems.

 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Experience with Enterprise Voice Systems.

Skilled in performing Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACDs) on components such as IP phones, contact centers, voicemail systems, gateways, and other voice peripherals.

Ability to manage both inside and outside cable plant infrastructure.

Advanced knowledge of carrier circuit delivery methods and protocols.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to actively listen and understand user needs.
