General Information:

The Systems Technician is responsible for operational support of the Systems & Operations team, including routine administration of applications, first level triage and handling of customer tickets, and data center maintenance such as such as access management, routine maintenance and record-keeping procedures, asset management, stocking supplies, cleaning and organization.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Respond to requests including Microsoft 365, Microsoft fileshares, email, mailing lists, and other support tickets escalated to the Systems team.

Support and maintain the IT data centers. Functions include monitoring of the mechanical systems, administration of the physical security systems, and ensuring that the data centers are maintained to provide maximum system availability.

Manage the location and tracking of equipment in the data centers.

 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with customers to resolve issues.

Demonstrated ability to maintain orderly spaces meticulously.

Diligence in following and updating detailed procedures with consistency and accuracy.

Familiarity with data center infrastructure including racks, cabling, power management, and cooling.

Experience with basic administration of Windows and Linux applications, scripts, email systems.
