General Information:

By performing research for our Center, the student will support our annual interdisciplinary conference and our AAAD Libraries Fellow. They will also undertake research projects associated with grant writing and Center priorities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include:
* compiling annotated bibliographies that research topics in Africana Studies
* writing short research reports
* other duties as assigned for our conference (assembling conference materials, maintaining attendee and registrant records, staffing the registration desk, and assisting the Conference Coordinator with assembling the program and updating our Wordpress site)

 

Qualifications:

* rising Junior or Senior status
* strong written and verbal communications skills
* strong research skills

Conditions of Employment:  

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
