General Information:
Program Assistants (PAs) staff The Club House space in the Union 208 (Taylor Hall) as well as the front desk in the Student Leadership and Involvement (SLI) suite - The Union 320 (Warren Hall).
Housed within the Student Life Department, we foster belonging through the personal growth and development of an engaged citizenry by providing inclusive experiences and spaces. Program Assistants support all 400+ of our student organizations on campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to the Coordinator for Student Organizations and the Assistant Director for Student Leadership Development.
Friendly and approachable office desk coverage.
Oversight of The Club House including inventory, promotional support, general cleaning as needed, and more.
Staffing and supporting departmental events such as Student Org Night.
Event programming.
Administrative support for department initiatives such as Stop the Haze, Annual Student Organization Registration, and more.
Being knowledgeable of the Student Life Department and its functions.
Attending staff meetings and 1:1s with supervisor.
Participating on a Program Assistant committee.
Other duties as assigned.
Working 10 in person hours per week.
Qualifications:
Must be available business hours 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
Some after-hours availability needed.
Must be full-time or part-time student - enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
Additional Posting Information:
Customer Service ability/experience preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
