General Information:
JMU's Office of Residence Life invites applications for a Technology Student Assistant who reports to the Residence Life Technology Manager. The student position is responsible for assisting with pick up and delivery of equipment, troubleshooting technology issues, data entry, and phone/email/chat monitoring. This is an academic year position with the option to work over the summer as well. Summer availability is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Pick up, deliver, and set up technology equipment (must be able to lift at least 25 pounds regularly)
- Troubleshooting and Tier 1 technical customer support
- Data entry and file creation/updating
- Phone/email/chat monitoring
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to keep strict confidentiality
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly
- Demonstrated experience and skill in customer service
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
- Basic Microsoft computer skills
- Ability to work independently

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
