General Information:

The University Health Center provides a comprehensive array of health care services and health education programs to JMU students. Included in our health care services are several medical clinics, a pharmacy, a medical laboratory, and other programs that provide services for more than 30,000 patient encounters a year. UHC practices evidence-based medicine in a confidential, welcoming environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Practice as a Registered Nurse in compliance with Health Center policies and procedures/nursing protocols, University guidelines, ANA guidelines, and the American College Health Standards for Nursing practice. Utilize the Nursing process, to include assessment, formulation of a nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide quality nursing care to eligible JMU students. Utilize the Triage system based upon random, appreciative, and critical thinking as a keystone of decision making to expeditiously channel each student to the appropriate health care source.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) Virginia state license (Associate Degree or Diploma RN as minimum requirement)
