General Information:
James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for a Renewable Term Appointment (RTA), 10-month full-time appointment at the rank of Lecturer that will begin in December 2024 or August 2025 (negotiable). The School of Nursing (SON) offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs. The responsibilities of this position will focus on undergraduate nursing program needs in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings, service, and scholarship. A Graduate Degree in Nursing is required. Three years of recent relevant practice and/or teaching experience is preferred. Experience with adult and/or geriatric populations in acute and/or subacute care is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities for this position include teaching, scholarship and professional, community, and/or university service. This position requires in-person teaching in the classroom, laboratory, and practicum settings and academic advising.
Qualifications:
Qualifications for this Renewable Term Appointment (RTA) position at the rank of Lecturer include the following: A minimum of a Graduate Degree in Nursing is required. Three years of recent relevant practice experience and/or teaching experience in undergraduate nursing is preferred. Experience with adult and/or geriatric populations in acute and/or subacute care is required.
Other requirements include having an unencumbered United States RN license and the eligibility for a Virginia nursing license.
