General Information:
James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for a 12-month, full-time appointment beginning May 1, 2026. This is an AP Faculty position at the rank of Instructor. The School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. The Clinical Coordinator will manage clinical contracts, ensuring compliance and timely renewal of affiliation agreements and coordinate clinical learning experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the efficient operation of nursing programs and serves as the primary liaison with clinical partners.
Provides administrative support to the School of Nursing, including assisting with clinical coordination, class registration, and other duties as assigned.
Collaborates with program coordinators and faculty to plan, implement, and evaluate clinical site orientations and student rotations. Ensures educational affiliation agreements are up to date and that all clinical agency policies and protocols are followed by the School of Nursing.
Develops student clinical schedules each semester, communicates the schedule to the students and faculty, troubleshoots issues as needed.
Ensures faculty and students have provided appropriate documentation of licensure, certifications, immunizations, and waivers and manages communications with outside vendors that provide clinical documentation services for the School of Nursing.
Implements and coordinates new technology and technology practices as assigned by the AD and Director of the School of Nursing. Assists with ongoing process improvement and oversees changes and improvements on an as needed basis.
Pursues opportunities for professional development and engagement. Positively and professionally represents the SON, CHBS, and the University.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated previous relevant work experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
Master’s in a related discipline.
Experience with clinical coordination and special project coordination.
Experience in higher education administration and operations.
Proficiency with data management systems.
