General Information:

The Telecommunications Department at James Madison University is accepting applications for a Telephone Operator with excellent telephone customer service skills.

This is a part-time wage position working an average of thirteen and a half hours per week.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
Answering and processing incoming telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
Providing accurate and timely information to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Maintaining and updating directory services to ensure current and accessible contact information.
Staying informed about JMU events and activities to effectively assist callers with relevant details.

 

Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills
Microsoft Office software skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Strives on being a team player

Conditions of Employment:  

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

This is a part-time wage position with no benefits.
