General Information:

James Madison University’s Facilities Management is accepting applications for a wage Institutional Chauffeur.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include driving JMU students, faculty, and staff using various modes of transportation such as sedans, vans, and SUV’s. Trips will involve weekdays, overnights, and weekends.

 

Qualifications:

Required:
• Must be at least 19 years old and have a valid driver's license for a minimum of 24 months.
• Must possess a good driving record.
• Must be able to work well with faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
• Knowledge of trip routing, managing trip logs, and detailed reporting.
• Excellent customer service, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules.
• Availability on weekdays and weekends, including days, evenings, and nights.

Conditions of Employment:  

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).

This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
