General Information:

JMU's Facilities Management (FM) is currently hiring for a Financial Services Manager. We are looking for someone that can apply their knowledge in administrative and business processes, personnel management and budgetary controls.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Providing effective supervision to employees while communicating important information regularly and consistently
•Developing annual operation budget for all individuals and departments while utilizing input from senior and program managers
•Managing budget functions for Capital Outlay
•Managing and ensuring departmental payroll actions are tracked and maintained daily
•Preparing of monthly recoveries/chargebacks and distributing and reconciling billing for customers in a timely manner
•Performing of monthly reconciliation for parking maintenance and projects
•Managing the accuracy of hiring process within FM
•Ensuring policies and procedures as well as insurance claim processing are consistent and accurate
•Understanding the department's role in the university specifically in utilizing customer service fees to meet operating budgets

 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

•Full knowledge of state budget and accounting processes
•Knowledge of facilities and planning budget processes
•Ability to manage inventory of stores along with the ordering and delivery
•Ability to develop spreadsheets to clearly present financial data
•Ability to use automated data processing systems and software
•Ability to supervise effectively and work well with others
•Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data effectively
•Availability to accommodate any necessary or temporary shift demands or special requests
